Click
It or Ticket to Boost Seat Belt Use – Day and Night
As
motorists take to the roads this Memorial Day holiday, Iowa law
enforcement officials are urging everyone to buckle up. Law
enforcement officers will be out in full force as part of the 2013
National “Click It or Ticket” seat belt enforcement mobilization
cracking down on motorists who are not belted as well as other
traffic violators.
While
this Click It or Ticket enforcement mobilization runs from May 20
through June 2, officers are enforcing seat belt laws year-round.
"Welcome to the Leon Iowa Police Department Home Page. The Leon Police Department proudly
serves approximately 2,000 people and is the county seat for Decatur County, Iowa. The department is comprised of
three full-time officers, five reserve officers and a full-time departmental clerk. All full time officers attend an
intensive 13-week training and certification from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy. The department prides itself on honesty,
integrity, and the community policing philosophy. Members of the department give many unselfish hours of service to the people
and organizations of the community. I am proud of the accomplishments of the department and its members as we continue to
excel at providing the best possible service to the community of Leon."
