Ron Zeiss - Chief of Police
Chief Zeiss started with the Leon Police Department as a reserve officer in 2000. He was then
hired as a full time officer in 2005. Ron took over the duties as Chief of Police in 2009.
Andy Walker - Assistant Chief
Andy started with the Leon Police Department in 1999 as a patrolman. Andy was promoted to Assistant
Chief, and then took served as the Chief of Police from 2004 to 2009. Andy went on to serve with the Osceola
Police Department. In 2012, Andy returned to the Leon Police Department.
Andy Woods - Patrolman
Andy started with the Leon Police Department in 1996, where he served as a patrolman, assistant
chief, as well as the Chief of Police. Andy left the department in 2000 to serve as a deputy with the Lucas County Sheriff's
Office. From there Andy went on to serve with the Iowa State Patrol as a State Trooper from 2002 to 2011. Andy returned to
the Leon Police Department in 2013.
